About the Role:
n
We are currently seeking experienced Truck Drivers with a HC or MC licence to join our dedicated team based in Wollongong..
n
We have positions across:
n
Night shift and Day shift
n
In this role, you will be a key player in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods predominately across local and regional routes. Reporting to the Transport Manager, you will be responsible for the below:
n
Safely operate heavy vehicles, including trucks and trailers, to transport freight to designated locations.
n
Adhere to assigned routes and schedules to guarantee timely delivery and pickup of goods.
n
Assist with the safe and efficient loading and unloading of freight, ensuring compliance with load restraint regulations.
n
Maintain accurate documentation, including logbooks for work/rest periods, kilometers driven, and fuel/toll receipts.
n
Conduct daily pre-trip inspections,
addressing any mechanical or safety concerns before departure.
n
Follow all road safety rules
n
Collaborate effectively with the transport manager and team members to support our road freight logistics operations.
n
About You:
n
You have a valid Heavy vehicle license and a clean driving record. MC licenses are preferred but others will be considered.
n
Experience operating General Freight and/or Container work is highly preferable.
n
MSIC card is preferrable and a requirement of this role.
n
Bluescope passport will be highly regarded.
n
Experience in a variety of freight types and load restraint systems.
n
Strong time management skills and a thorough knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
n
Experience in operating on board reporting technology (tablet).
n
A strong focus on safety and compliance with NHVAS Mass, Maintenance and Fatigue protocols and Company policies.
