The Position
As a Key Project Manager in the D&IG; Core Delivery PMO, you will deliver technology and business‑technology projects end‑to‑end, on schedule, within budget and meeting ReturnToWorkSA and SA Government quality standards.
- Manage complex projects across the full project lifecycle (PMI / PRINCE2) and SDLC, using best practice tailoring to guide methodology and delivery approach.
- Manage and coordinate large project teams, including internal staff, vendors and delivery partners.
- Build, develop and maintain relationships with multiple and varied stakeholders.
- Engage closely with business and IT stakeholders to align on scope, value, priorities, risk management and delivery expectations.
- Manage full governance, finances, schedules, resourcing, RIDAC and reporting (including Executives and Steering Committees).
- Identify and manage risks and issues, dependencies and delivery issues, escalating and providing options to stakeholders and sponsors where required.
- Join a passionate team of project management professionals.
This is a full‑time fixed‑term position for 2 years.
About You
- Demonstrated experience delivering IT projects from initiation through to closure phase, internally in organisations, working closely with internal business and IT teams.
- Proven end‑to‑end ownership of internal complex technology projects as lead or sole Project Manager, with large teams of 20+ across durations of 6‑18 months.
- Strong people skills, particularly with non‑IT business teams, in a face‑to‑face and hybrid working model.
- Willingness to learn, desire to contribute to successful project and program management,
and humility to build your skills and experience.
