Overview

We are expanding our radiation and nuclear engineering capability and are looking for experienced professionals with nuclear safety expertise to contribute to a range of high‐impact projects across Australia.

Responsibilities
n
n
- Support naval surface ship and submarine programmes in Adelaide and Perth
n
- Support the safety case development for Australia's first Commonwealth radioactive waste disposal facility
n
- Lead thinking on the assurance of autonomous systems and drive the application of machine learning to safety engineering
n
- Unlock existing transport regulatory frameworks to enable autonomous operations
n
- Digitise system engineering support to improve productivity
n
- Support the assurance of Australia's commercial space‐related activities
n
- Deliver safety and assurance programmes for major rail infrastructure projects in Sydney, Perth and Melbourne
n
- Improve the efficiency of power generation and transmission through innovative modelling
n
n
Requirements
n
n
- Bachelor of Engineering/Science Degree (or equivalent depth of training)
n
- UK or Australian security clearance, or eligibility to obtain one (essential)
n
- Safety and assurance knowledge for high‐risk technologies (highly regarded)
n
- Previous Defence maritime experience (highly regarded)
n
- Systems engineering knowledge and experience (desirable)
n
- Chartered Engineer status (desirable)
n
- Excellent client‐management and stakeholder engagement skills, or the aptitude to develop them
n
