The Obstetrics & Gynaecology Service
n
The O&G; service provides core obstetric and gynaecological care, with a focus on safe, high-quality regional practice and strong collaboration.
n
Scope includes:
n
n
- Antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care
n
- Gynaecology services appropriate to a regional hospital setting
n
- Emergency obstetric and gynaecological presentations
n
- Inpatient, outpatient and on-call responsibilities
n
n
You will work within a multidisciplinary team environment, contributing to:
n
n
- Clinical leadership and service delivery
n
- Teaching and supervision of junior medical staff
n
- Quality improvement, risk management and governance activities
n
- Ongoing development of safe, evidence-based O&G; services
n
n
This role suits a specialist who values teamwork, flexibility and continuity of care, and who is comfortable participating in an on-call roster with local response requirements.

- Staff Specialist or Visiting Medical Officer appointment

- Full-time, part-time, job share or regular rotation options available

- Participation in an on-call roster (on-site response required)

- Permanent appointment within NSW Health

Essential Criteria
n
n
- Specialist registration (or eligibility) with AHPRA in Obstetrics & Gynaecology
n
- Demonstrated clinical experience across obstetrics and gynaecology
n
- Ability to work effectively and provide leadership within a multidisciplinary team
n
- Commitment to teaching, continuing professional development and quality improvement
n
- Strong communication and IT skills
n
- Capacity to manage competing clinical demands in a regional setting
n
