Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior IP Telephony Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot up-to-date unified communications and telephony platforms across on-premises and cloud environments. This role requires deep expertise in Zoom Phone / Zoom Contact Center, Cisco Voice Gateways, and SIP-based VoIP solutions, along with strong skills in MDM administration (JAMF, Microsoft Intune) for endpoint security and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Unified Communications & Telephony Design

n

n
- Architect and deploy VoIP and Unified Communication solutions, including:
n
- Zoom Phone / Zoom Contact Center
n
- Cisco On-Prem IP PBX and SBC Platforms
n
- Design and optimize:
n
- Call flows, auto-attendants, hunt groups, queues, voicemail, IVR, and contact center routing.
n
- Collaborate with network teams to ensure:
n
- Bandwidth planning
n
- End-to-end voice quality assurance.
n

n

Operations, Support & Troubleshooting

n

n
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex telephony and UC incidents.
n
- Monitor and maintain:
n
- SIP trunks, SBCs, and carrier interconnects.
n
- Zoom voice workloads (devices, policies, dial plans).
n
- Cisco IP PBX instances and voice gateways.
n




- Perform advanced troubleshooting using:
n
- SIP traces, logs, and monitoring tools.
n
- Execute MACD (Moves, Adds, Changes, Deletes) for users, numbers, call flows, and devices.
n
- Work directly with customers and internal stakeholders to:
n
- Gather requirements and translate them into technical designs and implementation plans.
n
- Recommend best practices for Zoom and overall UC strategy.
n
- Coordinate with carriers and vendors for:
n
- Incident resolution.
n

Documentation & Governance

n

n
- Create and maintain:
n
- High-Level Designs (HLDs)
n
- Low-Level Configurations (LLDs)
n
- Operational runbooks.
n
- Maintain accurate inventory of:
n
- Numbers
n
- Licenses
n
- Services.
n
- Administer JAMF for macOS device management and security compliance.
n
- Manage Microsoft Intune for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android devices.
n
- Deploy software and patches across enterprise endpoints.
n
- Troubleshoot complex issues related to:
n
- Windows Group Policy
n
- Security patches.
n
- Ensure compliance and vulnerability remediation across global endpoints.
