About the job Senior Accountant (Audit and Assurance)

Job Description
n
As an Auditor in our team, your impact will be seen by:
n
Helping clients create new value for their organizations by identifying priority areas of risk and process improvement.
n
Developing financial audit strategies and methodologies for our clients, in collaboration with relevant teams.
n
Enabling clients to mitigate financial risk by recognizing potential problem areas or budget difficulties.
n
Identifying future opportunities by building trusted relationships with clients and anticipating their business needs.
n
Day to day responsibilities:
n
Preparation audit planning and completion documentation
n
Tailoring and reviewing and/or executing audit procedures remotely
n
Write up written-advice around the application of accounting standards and policy
n
Review /Preparation of the general purpose/special purpose financial report under different reporting framework (IFRS, US GAAP etc.) for the client if needed
n
Assist Partner in co-ordination with other team members
n
Coaching team members and review of their work
n
Review and preview firm work/deliverable templates
n
Other project and firm administrative work
n
Our expectations on you:
n
You have a background in external audit and are skilled in audit and financial reporting,
holding an understanding of IFRS and other similar accounting GAAP and how to effectively manage clients day-to-day.
n
You have a relevant work experience in audit and assurance service in a firm for at least 5 years (overseas experience needs to be over 5 years).
n
Passionate about being at the forefront of change, youre ready to help our Assurance team solve complex business issues, improve how systems work and provide confidence on the bigger decisions.
n

Other requirements:
n
Degree in Accounting, Business, Commerce or related field
n
Robust working knowledge of IFRS
n
At least 5 years of working experience in audit and assurance position with an Australian local accounting firm (overseas experience needs to be over 5 years)
n
Familiar with common seen accounting and reporting systems, as well as office suite and data analytical tools.
n
Customer service skills focusing on delivering excellent service to clients
n
Proven time management and team management skills
