About the Role
n
We are seeking a number of Electrical & Instrumentation Technicians to join us on the Perdaman project.

FIFO from any major city in Australia

Key responsibilities
n
n
- Carry out electrical and instrumentation installation activities in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and work packs.
n
- Install, terminate and test electrical cables, control cables and instrumentation cabling.
n
- Perform cable pulling, dressing, glanding, termination and identification. Install and terminate instrumentation equipment, junction boxes, marshalling cabinets and field devices.
n
- Install conduit, cable tray, ladder and associated supports.
n
- Install electrical equipment including lighting, power outlets, isolators, switches and distribution equipment.
n
- Perform instrument tubing and small-bore installation, where required. Carry out installation and connection of field instruments, including transmitters, switches and control devices.
n
- Assist with loop checking, continuity testing,
insulation resistance testing and point-to-point checks.
n
- Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning support activities as directed. Read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, instrument loop diagrams and cable schedules.
n
- Complete Inspection and Test Records (ITRs) and other project quality documentation.
n
- Identify installation defects, carry out rectification and assist with punch-list closeout.
n
- Fault-find electrical and instrumentation systems and assist with troubleshooting.
n
- Work closely with supervisors, engineers, commissioning personnel and other trades to coordinate daily activities.
n
- Verify installed equipment against drawings and ensure installations meet project specifications, Australian Standards and client requirements.
n
- Participate in daily pre-starts, toolbox meetings and JHA/SWMS reviews.
n
- Maintain compliance with Permit to Work, isolation/LOTO and site safety requirements. Maintain good housekeeping and ensure tools, equipment and work areas are kept secure and organised

Qualifications/Tickets required

- WA Electrical license
n
- LVP/CPY (within 12 months)
n
- Provide First aid

- Working at heights

- HRWL – EWP
n
- White card
