About CRA Building Services

CRA Building Services is a proudly South Australian-owned family business and one of Australia's leading insurance repair builders. Following years of sustained growth, we've become a trusted partner for insurers and homeowners across South Australia, Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales.

Our success comes down to our people. We're committed to creating a supportive, down-to-earth workplace where collaboration, continuous improvement and genuine care for our customers are at the heart of everything we do.

As we continue to grow, we're looking for great people who want to grow with us.

The Role

Problem solving and adaptability are key to this role. Working within insurance building and restoration means every job presents different billing requirements, making this a diverse and engaging position within our finance team.

Invoices can range from straightforward billings through to more complex requirements involving progress payments, variations, multiple components and differing insurer requirements. At times, this will require investigating job details, gathering information from across the business and resolving discrepancies before an invoice can be completed.

The primary focus of the role is Accounts Receivable and billing, taking ownership of the invoicing process and ensuring each job is accurately billed in accordance with its individual requirements.

You'll work closely with our finance and operational teams to obtain information, resolve queries and ensure invoices are accurate and issued on time. You'll also provide support across our Accounts Payable function.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working with accounts but is equally motivated by problem solving,

variety and the opportunity to work through something different each day.

About you

You are an organised and adaptable professional who enjoys problem solving and takes a considered approach to your work. You are comfortable managing a varied workload and can confidently move between straightforward transactions and more complex billing requirements while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

You have strong analytical skills and are confident investigating discrepancies, gathering information and working with others to resolve billing queries. Clear communication and the ability to build effective working relationships across the business will be important to your success in the role.

While previous Accounts Receivable or billing experience is important, we also value aptitude, initiative and a willingness to learn. Experience within insurance, construction or a similarly varied environment would be advantageous but is not essential.

You'll bring:

- Previous Accounts Receivable, billing or similar finance experience

- Confidence working with numbers and investigating discrepancies

- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to ask questions

- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

- Clear and confident communication skills

- Experience using MYOB and Microsoft Excel is helpful.

- Experience in insurance, construction or engineering would be advantageous, but isn't essential.

What you’ll do

- Prepare a diverse range of invoices for insurance building and restoration works

- Review individual jobs to determine what needs to be invoiced and what information is required

- Prepare progress claims, variations and final invoices

- Investigate discrepancies or missing information and work with internal teams to resolve them

- Manage customer billings and ensure invoices are accurate and issued on time

- Liaise with operational teams, insurers and other stakeholders regarding billing requirements and queries

- Assist with Accounts Receivable administration and outstanding accounts

What's on offer:

- Competitive salary based on experience, plus superannuation

- Microsoft Surface laptop and complete work-from-home setup provided

- Hybrid position with a mix of office presence and work -from-home day each week (once trained)

- Supportive, family-owned business with genuine flexibility

- Employee Assistance Program available to staff and their immediate family.

Ready to apply?

If you're looking for an accounts role where problem solving is just as important as processing, we'd love to hear from you. If you enjoy getting into the detail, working out what needs to happen and seeing a job through to completion, you'll fit right in.

Please apply through SEEK with your resume and a short cover letter. Applications close Friday 2 October and may be assessed as they're received, so we encourage you to apply early.
