About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Resource Management Librarian to join our Library Services team at Swinburne University to lead the library's resource management, metadata and cataloguing services.

In this role, you will lead and support the Cataloguing team and provide specialist expertise in resource management, discovery, access and key Library platforms, including Alma, Primo VE and OpenAthens. You will ensure that physical, licensed digital, open-access and repository resources are effectively managed, discoverable and accessible in support of teaching, learning and research.

Working collaboratively across Library teams, Information Technology and vendors, you will support service continuity, system enhancement, release testing, quality assurance and continuous improvement.

About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

- Demonstrated experience in resource management, metadata services, cataloguing and discovery services within an academic, research or complex library environment.
- Experience administering, configuring and supporting library services platforms, including Alma and Primo VE or comparable resource management and discovery platforms.
- Demonstrated experience leading staff, developing capability and fostering a collaborative, inclusive and service-focused team culture.
- Detailed knowledge of library resource-management, metadata, cataloguing, discovery and access workflows, with particular proficiency in Alma resource management and related functions.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating system change, release testing, implementation readiness and service improvement in a complex workplace.
- Experience with OpenAthens administration and troubleshooting, and a sound working knowledge of the broader Alma ecosystem and integrations is preferred.

Qualifications

- Postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training.
