Join us on our mission to improve women's mental health
Hazel is Australia’s first all-in-one digital platform dedicated to providing comprehensive care for women and people assigned female at birth (AFAB), with a focus on gynaecological, sexual, reproductive, and mental health.
From pelvic pain to endometriosis, PMOS, peri/menopause, and more, we’re tackling the women’s health issues that have long been neglected by the healthcare system — and mental health is a critical part of the story.
Featured in Marie Claire, Elle and at the Digital Health Festival, Hazel is reimagining how women access care. Our mission is to empower women with answers, treatment options, and dignity — one patient and one provider at a time.
The Role:
We’re looking for experienced psychologists with a passion for women’s mental health to join our collaborative, interdisciplinary care team. You’ll provide trauma-informed, person-centred care via telehealth video, supporting patients nationwide as they navigate their mental health.
Values and skills you’ll bring to Hazel:
- A deep understanding of women’s mental health: You have experience supporting patients with a range of mental health concerns and are comfortable working within the context of women’s health, including the emotional and psychological impacts of conditions like endometriosis, PMOS, and menopause.
- A cooperative mindset: You thrive in multidisciplinary environments, working closely with other clinicians while taking pride in independent clinical ownership.
- Problem-solving skills: You’re proactive and resourceful in navigating challenges to deliver the best outcomes for patients.
- Tech proficiency: You’re confident using technology and providing high-quality therapy via telehealth video.
- Inclusive, sex-positive approach: You deliver affirming,
non-judgmental care that embraces diversity across sexuality, gender, culture, and identity.
Required credentials:
Current general registration with AHPRA as a psychologist, with a Bachelor’s degree in psychology (or higher) and at least two years’ experience supporting patients in independent clinical practice.
Experience in trauma-informed care will be highly regarded, but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide evidence-based psychological consultations via Hazel’s purpose-built digital platform.
- Support patients experiencing a broad spectrum of mental health concerns, with a focus on issues disproportionately affecting women and AFAB individuals.
- Collaborate with patients to develop personalised treatment plans, focusing on empowerment, shared decision-making, and ongoing support.
- Stay up to date with the latest research in women’s mental health and apply evidence-based practices to ensure the highest standard of care.
Why Hazel?
- Consult remotely from anywhere in Australia.
- Existing patient base and rapid growth.
- Contribute to revolutionising women's healthcare through improved access to women’s healthcare with dignity.
- Training, events and opportunities to support your professional growth.
- Work with our supportive Patient Care Coordinators and nursing staff.
- Be supported by the Clinical Director, Clinic Operations Manager, Tech team, Marketing team and Pharmacy team.
- Collaborate with our MDT team and Clinical Advisory Board comprising research, clinical and expert consultant staff.
- Be part of a diverse team - we are proudly majority female and represent the LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and neurodiverse communities.
This is an opportunity to be a part of an incredible team who are on a mission to give women and people AFAB the healthcare they deserve.
