The Role

Your work will be mostly property, with commercial and litigation running through a lot of it. You'll handle the transactional side, write advice, and stay on a file when it turns into a fight.

Key responsibilities include:

● Leases, developer contracts, mortgages, caveats, related party and deceased proprietor transfers

● Research and written advice on property rights and the causes of action open to a client

● Drafting and reviewing property and commercial documents

● Pleadings, submissions and affidavits when a matter turns litigious

● Conveyancing, and supervising our property paralegal on PEXA settlements

● Trust, tax and duties advice on property transactions

● Advising developers on how to structure a development





● Building the firm's template property and commercial documents

● Dealing directly with clients, the court and other solicitors

About You

You'll be someone who works a problem out rather than waiting to be walked through it. You'll want to know why something is done a particular way, not just that it is. And you'll go past the bare minimum, because your name is on the work and you care what that says about you.

You'll need 1-4 years PQE in a commercial firm, with solid grounding in at least one of property, commercial or litigation. PEXA experience and some exposure to development or duties work would help.
