- Salary $130,190 - $136,010 p.a. (Pro Rata) RN/M3
- Long term contract until December 2027

Nurse Unit Manager – Lead Outpatient Care across Southern Adelaide Local Health Network

Lead Outpatient Support Services nursing across Flinders Medical Centre, Noarlunga Hospital and GP+ Marion in this part time contract role through 2027.

About the role:

Employees classified at this level use their clinical knowledge and experience to provide the pivotal coordination of patient/client care delivery in a patient/client care area within a Health Unit/Community Service. The main focus of this role is the line management, coordination and leadership of nursing/midwifery and/or multi-disciplinary team activities to achieve continuity and quality of patient/client care and outcomes.

Duties for the role will include:

- Ensure that service provision and the activities of the Division / Unit / Ward Service are person and family centred and professionally and effectively conducted by contributing to the development of an integrated team approach and culture which is highly responsive to the needs of our consumers.
- Ensure the effective management of human, financial and physical assets through appropriate planning and allocation of resources to achieve agreed Division / Unit / Ward / Service and strategic plans.

- Lead, develop and foster a positive work culture which is based on SA Public Sector and SALHN values and promotes patient / client focussed service, learning and development, safety and welfare of employees, acknowledges differences, and encourages creativity and innovation.





- Provide the pivotal leadership and co-ordination of patient/client care delivery in a defined unit/service/program to achieve continuity and quality of patient/client care and outcomes and efficient patient/client flow.

About you:

- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse and Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of

Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.

- Effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict

resolution and negotiation skills.

- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience.
- Experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced

registered nurses.
