About the role
We are seeking an experienced Administration Team Leader to join our team at Precision Brain, Spine and Pain Centre in Launceston, TAS. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in the smooth operation of our healthcare facility. As Administration Team Leader, you will oversee the administrative function, excellent patient service and effective team management. You will report to senior management and be responsible for leading and developing your administrative team whilst maintaining the highest standards of service delivery and compliance within a healthcare setting.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, supervise and manage the administrative team, providing direction, support and professional development opportunities
- Oversee reception, patient scheduling, and appointment management to ensure efficient clinic operations
- Manage patient records, documentation and electronic health record systems in compliance with healthcare privacy regulations
- Coordinate communication between clinical staff, patients and external healthcare providers
- Ensure adherence to healthcare compliance requirements, privacy legislation and internal policies
- Train and mentor administrative staff on procedures, systems and customer service standards
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to administrative operations and team performance
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in a healthcare or medical administration environment,
with demonstrated supervisory or team leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of medical administration practices, patient privacy legislation (including privacy act compliance) and healthcare regulatory requirements
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, clinical staff and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated leadership qualities including the ability to motivate, mentor and develop team members
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and practice management systems
- A compassionate approach to patient care and commitment to maintaining confidentiality
- Relevant qualifications in healthcare administration, business management or a related field (preferred)
