About the role

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for providing accurate survey services and managing survey data to support project delivery. You will work closely with engineering, project and construction teams to ensure survey information is collected, processed and maintained to the highest standards of accuracy, quality and compliance. Projects are predominantly based in Werribee; however, this role may be required to support projects across metropolitan and regional Victoria. Travel to various project sites may be required from time to time.

Key responsibilities

- Undertake survey set-out, control and as-built surveys.

- Operate Total Station, GNSS/GPS and associated survey equipment.

- Establish and maintain survey control networks and benchmarks.

- Process, validate and manage survey data and project records.

- Produce survey reports, plans, volume calculations and digital deliverables.

- Support engineering and construction teams with accurate survey information.

- Verify works against approved drawings and project specifications.

- Maintain survey databases, document control and data integrity.

- Assist with machine control and digital engineering requirements where applicable.

- Identify and investigate survey discrepancies and support their resolution.

About you

- Qualification in Surveying, Spatial Science, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

- Experience operating Total Station equipment within civil construction, infrastructure, mining or related industries.





- Experience undertaking survey set-out, control and as-built surveys.

- Experience processing and managing survey data.

- Strong understanding of survey control, coordinate systems and survey calculations.

- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and technical documentation.

- Experience using survey software and spatial data management systems.

- Current Driver's Licence.

- Construction White Card.

Desirable Experience

- Experience working on major infrastructure projects, including roads, rail, bridges, tunnels, utilities, renewable energy or large-scale civil construction projects.

- Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.

- Understanding of civil engineering principles and construction methodologies.

- Experience supporting engineering teams with quantity calculations, design verification and construction compliance activities.

- Experience with drone surveying, laser scanning or other spatial technologies.

- Exposure to BIM, digital engineering and model-based construction environments.
