About the role

This is an outstanding ongoing opportunity for an experienced Grade 1 Speech Pathologist who is ready to build on their foundational skills and take the next step in paediatric practice. You will deliver evidence-based assessment and intervention for children with communication and swallowing needs, supporting a vibrant and rapidly growing community across Melbourne's west.

As part of a well-established and highly skilled paediatric team, you will manage a varied caseload with the clinical autonomy that comes with experience, backed by structured supervision, strong peer support, and genuine investment in your professional development. As a permanent position, this role offers the stability and continuity to grow deep expertise, pursue your areas of clinical interest, and make a lasting difference to the children and families you work alongside.

Key responsibilities

- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based assessment and intervention that supports children's communication and swallowing development.
- Manage a varied paediatric caseload with growing independence, applying sound clinical judgement to complex decision-making.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, and deliver services that respond to the needs of children and families.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and prepare clear, timely reports that support quality care and effective service delivery.
- Contribute to service improvement, student supervision, and the mentoring of less experienced colleagues as your confidence and expertise grow.
- Participate actively in supervision, career development, and reflective practice.
- Uphold safety, child safety, and confidentiality standards to ensure a respectful and secure environment for families and staff.

About you

- A qualified Speech Pathologist eligible for membership of Speech Pathology Australia, with some post-graduate clinical experience, ideally including paediatrics.
- Confident delivering evidence-based assessment and intervention, and ready to take on a varied caseload with increasing autonomy.
