About the role

Truflo Pumping Systems is looking for a reliable and hardworking Casual Labourer to assist in our blast booth at our Bathurst manufacturing facility. Your primary responsibility will be abrasive blasting steel components and fabricated pump equipment to prepare them for painting.

This is a physically demanding, hands on position suited to someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in producing a quality finish and understands the importance of following safety procedures. You will also assist painters, tradespeople and the broader production team when required.

What you will be doing

· Abrasive blasting steel components, frames and fabricated equipment

· Cleaning, masking and preparing surfaces before and after blasting

· Inspecting prepared surfaces and identifying areas requiring further work

· Safely operating and caring for blasting equipment, hoses and associated tools

· Moving and positioning materials using approved lifting aids





· Maintaining a clean and safe blast booth and surrounding work area

· Assisting painters, tradespeople and production team members with general workshop duties

· Operating a forklift

What we are looking for

· A solid safety focus and willingness to follow instructions and Safe Work Instructions

· Reliability, punctuality and a positive approach to physical work

· The ability to work independently and contribute as part of a team

· Good attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work

· Previous abrasive blasting, surface preparation, industrial cleaning or manufacturing experience is advantageous but not essential

· A current forklift licence is advantageous but not essential

· Australian work rights

What we offer

·This casual position has the potential to develop into a full-time role for the right person

. $34 to $35 per hour plus superannuation, depending on experience and capability

· Casual day shift work at our Bathurst facility
