About the Role:
An exciting chance exists for Associate Genetic Counsellors to join ACT Genetic Service, a specialist service providing genetic counselling and support to individuals and families with a personal or family history of genetic conditions.
This role offers the chance to work across diverse clinical settings while contributing to a highly regarded genetics program.
As an Associate Genetic Counsellor, under the guidance of senior genetic counsellors, you will provide genetic counselling services appropriate to your level of experience. You will undertake genetic counselling assessments and interventions, support clients and families to understand genetic information and risk, collaborate with healthcare professionals, maintain clinical records, and contribute to service development and quality improvement activities.
In this role, you will benefit from the ongoing professional development, collaboration with experienced genetic and healthcare professionals, and the chance to contribute to the growing field of genomics. The position also provides a varied and rewarding work environment, including clinic-based, community and telehealth service delivery, enabling you to develop a broad range of skills while supporting clients across the ACT.
Note:
A merit pool may be established from this recruitment process and will remain valid for 12 months. This pool may be used to fill similar roles/ future vacant positions at the same level across CHS.

Comply with CHS credentialing and scope of clinical practice requirements for allied health professionals.
