30-Week Maternity Leave Contract | Riverwood Medical
Riverwood Medical is seeking an experienced, caring and patient focused Registered Nurse RN) to join our friendly and supportive team on a 30-week maternity leave contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for an RN who enjoys working in a busy general practice environment and is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred care and exceptional service.
We welcome applications from experienced Practice Nurses as well as Registered Nurses with relevant primary healthcare or clinical experience who are looking to further develop their skills in general practice.
Position Details
· Position: Practice Nurse – Registered Nurse (RN)
· Contract: 30-week maternity leave contract
· Days: Wednesday and Thursday
· Start: Immediate commencement available
· Hours: Negotiable
· Remuneration: Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with qualifications, skills and experience

About the Role
Working as part of our multidisciplinary team,
the successful RN will be involved in a broad range of clinical and general practice nursing activities, including:
· Chronic disease management and health assessments
· Care plans and care plan reviews
· Immunisations and preventive healthcare
· Wound assessment and management
· Assisting GPs with minor procedures
· Patient education and health promotion
· General nursing and clinical duties
· Appropriate clinical documentation and administrative duties
The role provides an opportunity to work closely with GPs and other members of the healthcare team while developing strong relationships with our patients.
Essential Criteria
To be considered for this position, you must have:
· Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (RN)
· Nursing experience, preferably in General Practice, Primary Health care or a relevant clinical setting
· Good clinical knowledge and patient assessment skills
· Valuable communication and interpersonal skills
· A compassionate and patient-centred approach to care
· Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary team
· Good organisational and time-management skills
· Professional, reliable and positive attitude
· Commitment to maintaining high standards of clinical care and patient service
