About the role
Metro Trains Melbourne has created a new role within our Technology division for an AI Productivity and Enablement Specialist to join the team. In this role you'll be responsible for ensuring a safe, governed and effective adoption of AI related practices across Microsoft M365 AI ecosystems, such as Copilot, and other AI assistance and productivity platforms. You'll provide hands on technical advice across the business to support with creating efficiencies and continuous improvements by identifying, assessing and implementing Copilot enabled solutions through automation that aligns with business outcomes.
You'll work closely with a range of stakeholders across the business to guide and lead the adoption of AI practises. You'll assess proposed cases whilst ensuring alignment with Metro's security guidelines including privacy, security, data sharing and risk management.
This is a permanent role based out of our Collins Street office.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and guidance for Microsoft Copilot and AI-based solutions.
- Gather, assess and translate AI-related business requirements into practical AI solutions and use-cases.
- Documenting and managing any AI risks, appropriate controls, mitigations and escalation pathways.
- Collaborate with Information Management,
Cyber Security and Architecture teams to support responsible, safe and effective AI adoption and to ensure compliance with respective principles, guidelines, practices and standards.
- You’ll champion and support our end users through training workshops, templates, training content, procedures, policies and roadmaps and user guides to support effective AI solutions rolled out across Metro.
- Monitor AI usage, perks and emerging capabilities to maximise business value.
- Contribute to the development of AI strategies, policies, standards, roadmaps and governance frameworks.
- Demonstrates initiative and a commitment to delivering meaningful business outcomes.
Qualifications
- You’ll have proven expertise in the Microsoft AI ecosystem, including Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Chat, Assistants, Agents and Copilot Studio
- Hands-on experience delivering AI-powered productivity solutions using Power Platform, Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams and prompt engineering techniques
- Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft 365 services, including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote) and Microsoft Entra ID
- Ability to gather and assess business requirements and use-cases and translate into practical AI and Copilot solutions that improve productivity, decision-making and business processes.
- Communicate with influence to a range of internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership lead enterprise-wide AI-related change that will support both technical and non-technical audiences
- You’ll have a sound understanding of AI governance, information management, privacy, security, compliance and responsible AI practices in enterprise environments
- Experience assessing risks, benefits, controls and operational requirements within organisational governance and cyber security frameworks.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or Microsoft, AI, Azure or Security certifications, with demonstrated experience driving AI adoption, digital workplace transformation and business improvement initiatives.
