About the Department / Program

Monash Engineering and Facility Management provides a strategic asset management function across all Monash Health sites. Utilising a centralised planning strategy and a customer focused approach, implemented by local site engineering management, provides proactive delivery of infrastructure and asset management, maintenance and repair functions. Engineering Services is committed to providing the highest standard of customer service with evaluation that supports continual improvement.

The primary objective is to provide stakeholders with safe, serviceable, comfortable and aesthetically pleasing environments. This is achieved by providing cost efficient, innovative, and customer focused engineering services in support of Monash Health's vision to provide better health for our community. With a strong focus on Quality Improvement, Engineering Services endeavours to deliver best practice infrastructure and equipment lifecycle management by safely, efficiently, and effectively managing and maintaining assets.

About the Role

Join our team as a Contracts Coordinator on a full time, ongoing basis to work at the Casey hospital based at Berwick. In this role, you will be guided under the leadership of the (Senior Assets and Contracts Manager) and working with the broader Engineering and Facilities team.





This highly visible role ensures that the Contracted Service Provider (currently BGIS) delivers their services to Casey Hospital in accordance with the contractual obligations. Being the key liaison point between Monash Health and BGIS for Engineering and Facilities.

About You

You are a proactive and solutions-focused professional with strong contract management, stakeholder engagement, and project coordination skills.

You thrive in complex operational environments where balancing competing priorities and delivering positive outcomes are critical to success.

To be successful, you will demonstrate:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience managing service contracts, contractor performance, or facilities-related agreements.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and conflict resolution capabilities.
- Experience coordinating projects, minor works, or site modifications.
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of asset management principles and building services environments.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and reporting tools.
- The ability to work effectively across multiple stakeholders with differing priorities.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

- Qualifications in Engineering, Building Services, Project Management, Business Management, or a related discipline.
- Trade qualification with relevant asset or contract management experience.
- Experience within healthcare facilities, infrastructure, or property environments.
- Public Private Partnership (PPP) experience.
- Project management qualifications or equivalent experience.
