About the Role

Our Transport Division specialises in Over-Dimensional Freight, Machine Relocation, Road Freight and Material Haulage, delivering protected, reliable and efficient transport solutions to mining, civil construction and infrastructure projects throughout Australia.

We're seeking a hands-on and proactive On-Road Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance, reliability and compliance of our heavy & light vehicle fleet. Based at our Darlington workshop, you will work closely with our Transport Planner and Scheduler to coordinate servicing, repairs, inspections and breakdown response activities, ensuring fleet availability meets operational requirements.

Supporting a diverse fleet ranging of multiple manufactures & types of heavy vehicles, a modern fleet of Volvo FH16 prime movers through to specialised heavy haulage equipment, including a 200T platform trailer, this role offers a variety of workshop, depot and field-based responsibilities. You will play a key role in ensuring our fleet remains safe, compliant and available to support operational demands across South Australia and interstate.

This position operates on a Monday to Friday roster, 7:00am to 5:00pm, with one half day Saturday worked per month, providing a stable work schedule while supporting a dynamic transport operation.

Key Responsibilities include:

- Planning and coordinating scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance and major repairs across our transport & commercial vehicle fleet

- Managing defect reporting, breakdown repairs and maintenance priorities

- Organising labour, workshop resources, tooling and parts to minimise downtime





- Working closely with the Transport Planner and Scheduler to maximise fleet utilisation and availability

- Liaising with suppliers, OEMs, external repairers and internal stakeholders

- Monitoring maintenance records, inspections and vehicle compliance requirements

- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance fleet reliability and maintenance performance

- Conducting post-repair reviews and identifying opportunities for operational efficiencies

About You

We're looking for someone with:

- Strong experience in heavy vehicle maintenance and workshop supervision

- Mechanical Trade Qualification in Heavy Vehicle Road Transport or a related discipline

- Experience maintaining commercial vehicles, prime movers, trailers and specialised heavy haulage equipment

- Sound knowledge of NHVR compliance and heavy vehicle maintenance requirements

- Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills

- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

- A proactive and solutions-focused approach to maintenance management

- Ability to build strong working relationships across workshop and operational teams
