About the Role:

We are looking for qualified and registered paramedicine graduates to join St John WA as Medics within our Patient and Community Transport Services (PaCTS) team.

As a Medic, you will provide clinical care to low and medium acuity patients requiring transport between hospitals, medical centres, community facilities and private residences.

This is an opportunity to put your clinical knowledge into practice, build confidence in patient assessment and care, and gain valuable experience working within a professional ambulance and patient transport environment.

You will work alongside experienced clinicians and operational teams, with support, mentoring and development throughout your time in the role.

* Induction for this Medic intake will commence Monday 7th December 2026.

*Assessment Centres have been scheduled from Tuesday 6th to Thursday 8th October 2026. Should you be invited to this stage of the recruitment process, we kindly request that you ensure your availability on one of those dates.

What You’ll Do:

- Provide clinical care for low to medium acuity patients as they are transported between private and public hospitals, medical centres, community facilities and private residences.
- You will ensure that appropriate patient care is rendered prior to and during transport.
- Clinical duties include but are not limited to; cardiac monitoring, monitoring of intravenous infusions, administration of medications, airway management, and updating patient records.




- Communicate effectively and appropriately with patients, relatives, general practitioners, health professionals, and health services providers to ensure the best possible care for the patient is achieved.
- You will be part of the courageous, caring and confident St John WA team who put themselves on the front-line of pre-hospital care every day.

What You’ll Need:

- Have completed a degree in Paramedicine from an AHPRA approved course provider or recognised international education provider.
- Qualified registration with the Paramedicine Board of Australia with no restrictions.
- Possess, as a minimum, a current, unrestricted WA ‘C’ or ‘CA’ Class Driver’s Licence and have a good driving history. Probationary drivers will not be considered.
- Demonstrate a good driving history with no more than six (6) demerit points at time of application or any serious convictions or loss of licence within the last four years
- Demonstrate a clear criminal record; a National Police Clearance, including a traffic convictions and infringements report is required as part of the recruitment process.
- Successfully complete the medical and fitness assessment. These assessments are designed to assess your physical and psychological ability to fulfil the inherent requirements of the role.
