Are you an experienced Business Analyst or Principal Project Officer looking to contribute to major organisational reform and service improvement initiatives?
Queensland Corrective Services (QCS) is seeking a Business Analyst (AO7) to join the Project Delivery Command within the Community Corrections and Specialist Operations division.
In this role, you will work across complex projects and operational environments to identify business needs, analyse processes, and develop practical solutions that support successful project delivery and business improvement outcomes. This opportunity is well suited to professionals with experience in business analysis, project delivery, organisational improvement, stakeholder engagement, or implementation planning.
You will collaborate with project teams, operational areas, senior leaders, technical specialists and external stakeholders to understand business requirements, investigate current and future state processes, and support the development and implementation of sustainable solutions. Your ability to build strong relationships,
facilitate productive discussions and translate complex information into clear recommendations will be critical to your success.
Key responsibilities include:
- Facilitating workshops and stakeholder engagements to define business requirements and desired outcomes.
- Analysing, documenting and validating business processes, requirements and solution options.
- Developing high-quality project and business analysis artefacts.
- Supporting solution design, implementation, training and business readiness activities.
- Building strong working relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Contributing to policies, procedures, guidance materials and other project deliverables.
- Applying project, risk and change management principles to support successful outcomes.
We are looking for a motivated and collaborative qualified who can navigate complex environments, manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes. Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills are essential, along with experience working in project or program environments.
Candidates with Principal Project Officer experience are strongly encouraged to apply, particularly where their experience includes project planning and coordination, stakeholder engagement, governance and reporting, business process improvement, implementation activities and delivering outcomes within large or complex organisations.
