Full time dairy farm hand
Rural town of Smithton, TAS. Milking 900 cows, twice a day -one worker required, ongoing full time position for the right applicant.

Position Description:
• 38 hrs/week commencing at pastoral award Level 1 $25.74 per hour
• Milkings at 4am and 2pm
• Milking twice a day
• 45 bail rotary

Work commencement:

October 2026

Key Responsibilities:
• Milking cows efficiently and hygienically (AM and PM milkings)
• Identifying and reporting animal health issues
• Cleaning and maintaining milking equipment and the dairy shed
• Potential assistance with herd movements and general farm tasks as needed

About You:
• Previous experience with dairy milking is preferred but not essential — training can be provided for the right person
• Strong work ethic and a good level of physical fitness
• Comfortable working early mornings, weekends, and in all weather conditions
• Reliable and punctual
