Brunetti Oro is currently seeking experienced, qualified and passionate Commis Chef, Cook, and Kitchenhand's to join the dynamic culinary team at our flagship Flinders Lane venue and Brunswick Production.

If you are passionate about Italian cuisine, have significant experience in the delivery of traditional and modern Italian dishes, and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment this is the role for you.

About the role:

The Commis Chef and Cook are responsible for assisting the Flinders Lane Kitchen Team in the preparation and production of all menu items as designated within the department.

The Commis Chef (part-time position) will play a role in the daily operation of the Flinders Lane Kitchen Pasta Team demonstrating knowledge and expertise in traditional, and modern Italian cuisine, and the ability to work confidently and autonomously in the delivery of a premium product and service. The Commis Chef will ensure production accuracy and quality consistency, contributing to the success and growth of Brunetti Oro through the utilisation of thier skills and knowledge in the kitchen, of product qualities, and flavour combinations.

The Commis Chef will demonstrate product knowledge, culinary function, and teamwork, adopting a hands-on approach and working well under pressure.

The Cook position will focus on breakfast service in the Flinders Lane team. This is a full-time position.

The Kitchenhand position is based at Brunetti Oro Brunswick, is part-time comprising a shift pattern of Monday, Thursday, and Friday, 7am-3pm.

In order to be successful for the position, you must possess the following:





- Diploma/Certificate III in Commercial Cookery plus 1-2 years experience as Cook or Commis Chef in a fast paced premium a la carte restaurant

- For the kitchenhand position candidates should demonstrate a minimum of 1 year expereince

- Demonstrated knowledge of traditional and contemporary Italian cuisine

- Demonstrated superior standards of food preparation, production and presentation, utilizing your specialist skills to deliver a premium Italian food experience

- Demonstrated ability to work confidently and autonomously in the execution of kitchen operations under the direction of your supervisor

- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, operate well under pressure and role model behaviours in the preparation and delivery of premium Italian dishes

- Demonstrated product knowledge and culinary function

- Demonstrated organizational and communication skills

- Demonstrated ability to work in a team-driven environment, to take direction, offer direction, and assist with problem solving, share and respectfully consider ideas

- Demonstrated ability to ensure customer satisfaction through the preparation, and delivery of a premium Italian food offering with accuracy, precision and consistency

- Understanding of food safety standards
