Our client is seeking a hands-on Field Operations Technician/Trigger to support the reliable operation, maintenance and upgrade of telecommunications sites. Working across both fixed and mobile infrastructure, you will complete planned maintenance, respond to faults and maintain the power and site-support systems that keep the network operating.

Key Responsibilities

- Complete preventative and corrective maintenance on telecommunications sites and equipment.
- Maintain and inspect antennas, feeders, grounding systems, rectifiers, batteries and emergency generators.
- Order, maintain and refuel diesel generators, record running hours and connect temporary generators when required.
- Test, diagnose and repair external alarms, lighting, fuses, air-conditioning systems and other site-support equipment.
- Complete temporary repairs to site infrastructure, including fences and access or climbing obstructions.
- Deliver planned maintenance within required time windows and quality measures.
- Support network optimisation and provide field input to Operations and Planning Engineers.
- Maintain accurate site folders and provide operational information to the Network Operations Centre.
- Report site-support faults, completed repairs and outstanding actions.

receive and store spare parts in line with the approved spare-parts process.

About You

- Previous field experience maintaining telecommunications sites or comparable critical infrastructure.
- Practical fault-finding capability across telecom, electrical, power and mechanical site-support systems.
- Working knowledge of antennas, feeders, grounding, rectifiers, batteries and generator systems.
- Robust safety awareness and the ability to follow maintenance procedures and quality requirements.
- Accurate documentation, fault reporting and spare-parts handling skills.
- Ability to work independently in field conditions and collaborate with engineering and operations teams.
- Relevant licences, tickets and site-access credentials will be assessed against the confirmed work scope.
