About the role

Swimart Richmond is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Pool Cleaner + Pool Shop All-Rounder to join our team on a full-time basis in Richmond, NSW 2753. This is a dynamic role that combines hands-on pool maintenance work with customer-facing retail duties. You will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring our customers receive exceptional service both in the pool and at the shop counter. This position offers the perfect opportunity to develop a diverse skill set within the pool and spa industry whilst building strong relationships with our local community.

Key responsibilities

- Perform regular and emergency pool cleaning and maintenance services for residential and commercial clients

- Test and balance pool water chemistry, including chlorine levels, pH balance, and alkalinity

- Inspect and maintain pool equipment, identifying and reporting any faults or necessary repairs

- Provide excellent customer service at the retail shop, assisting customers with product selection and advice

- Process customer transactions, manage inventory, and maintain shop displays

- Recommend appropriate pool care products and treatments based on customer needs

- Maintain accurate records of pool maintenance schedules and client information

- Ensure all safety protocols and hygiene standards are adhered to at all times

- Support the team in training new staff and contributing to a positive workplace culture

What we're looking for

- Experience in pool cleaning and maintenance or a willingness to undertake training

- Knowledge of pool chemistry and water treatment systems is highly advantageous

- Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients





- Retail experience or proven ability to work in a shop environment

- A proactive attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour outdoors in various weather conditions

- Reliability and punctuality, with a valid driver's licence

- A genuine passion for providing excellent service and maintaining high standards

- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Full availability in the summer months is essential
