About the role
Put your heavy vehicle driving skills to work on projects that shape the future of Ipswich.
We're looking for a capable Heavy Vehicle Operator who takes pride in operating their equipment safely, efficiently and to a high standard to join our Capital Delivery Team. You will operate a range of heavy vehicles and plant equipment contributing to the construction, maintenance, and improvement of vital community infrastructure projects across the city.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Operate plant and equipment such as water truck and tandem tippers
- Ensure all machinery and equipment are maintained
- Follow safety standards when loading, unloading and operating loaded vehicles
- Prepare and apply materials efficiently and safely

About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Current HR Class Driver's Licence
- Previous experience working in heavy vehicle operation
- General Safety Induction (Construction Industry) card
- Certificate 3 in Civil Construction or construction knowledge and experience is highly desirable
- Be self-sufficient and able to work under minimal supervision
- The ability to work in line with our values of safety and wellbeing, communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency and leadership

This is a full-time permanent position with a salary commencing from $73,860 plus 12.5% superannuation.
