Restaurant & Training Manager – Kiki’s Tavern

South Yarra | Full-Time | Immediate Start

Kiki’s Tavern is a brand-new all-day hospitality venue in the heart of South Yarra, and we’re looking for an experienced Restaurant & Training Manager to join our leadership team for an immediate start.

This is a hands-on management role for someone who loves being on the floor, developing people and creating exceptional hospitality.

You’ll play a key role in establishing the service standards and culture of Kiki’s — leading the restaurant day-to-day while taking ownership of the training and development of our front-of-house team.

The Role

Working closely with the Venue Manager and senior leadership team, you’ll be responsible for:

- Leading busy restaurant services and maintaining a strong presence on the floor

- Training, coaching and developing our FOH team

- Implementing and maintaining Kiki’s service standards and procedures

- Running structured onboarding and training for new employees

- Developing the team’s knowledge across food, wine, cocktails and general hospitality

- Conducting pre-service briefings and ongoing on-the-floor coaching

- Ensuring every guest receives warm, professional and consistent service

- Supporting rostering, labour management and daily venue operations

- Identifying future leaders within the team and helping develop them

- Working closely with the kitchen and bar teams to deliver seamless service

- Helping build a positive, accountable and high-performing workplace culture





About You

We’re looking for someone with strong restaurant management experience who genuinely enjoys developing people.

You’ll ideally have:

- Experience as a Restaurant Manager, Assistant Venue Manager, FOH Manager or similar senior hospitality role

- A solid background in high-volume, quality restaurants or premium hospitality venues

- Excellent service standards and attention to detail

- Confidence leading and training a large FOH team

- Strong food, wine and beverage knowledge

- The ability to coach people constructively and hold the team accountable to standards

- Excellent communication and organisational skills

- A hands-on approach — you’re happiest leading from the floor rather than managing from the office

- A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
