About the team
The Sales team plays a key role in helping current and future members access the education, development opportunities and professional networks that support their leadership journey. Working in a collaborative, high performing environment, the team connects professionals with learning pathways and membership solutions that help them build capability and achieve their career goals.
About the role
As a Sales Consultant, you will manage the customer journey from first enquiry through to enrolment, payment and fulfilment. You will engage with prospective customers over the phone, understand their goals and recommend education programs, learning pathways and membership options that align with their needs.
This role combines consultative selling, relationship building and customer service excellence. You will work with warm inbound enquiries, proactively nurture leads and guide customers through the sales process, delivering a seamless experience while achieving sales and service targets.
Your remit will be broad and will include:
- Managing inbound enquiries and outbound sales activity for education programs and memberships
- Providing personalised advice on courses, learning pathways and membership options
- Following up leads generated through campaigns, events, referrals and digital channels
- Building relationships and nurturing opportunities through the sales cycle
- Converting qualified leads into course enrolments and memberships
- Guiding customers through application,
enrolment and payment processes
- Managing opportunities through the CRM pipeline and maintaining accurate records
- Delivering a high-quality customer experience across every interaction
- Contributing to team sales targets, service levels and continuous improvement initiatives
What you bring to the role
You are a customer focused sales skilled who enjoys connecting with people, understanding their goals and helping them find the right solution. You bring a consultative approach, strong communication skills and a genuine interest in building long term customer relationships.
You will champion the AICD One Team approach and values of Accountability, Respect, Excellence and Collaboration. In addition, you will have:
- Experience in phone-based sales, customer engagement or contact centre environments
- Proven ability to manage customers from enquiry through to purchase or fulfilment
- Strong lead nurturing, follow up and pipeline management skills
- Experience working towards sales targets while maintaining service excellence
- Confidence handling objections and guiding customers through decisions
- Experience using CRM systems and sales tools
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A resilient, positive and customer centric approach to work
- Microsoft Dynamics experience advantageous but not essential
