The Role & The Team
You will join the Business Case Enablement team within the EPMO, leading the delivery of investment-ready business cases across a diverse portfolio of complex initiatives. Working closely with portfolio leaders, SMEs and key business partners, you will bring together technical, financial, commercial and delivery inputs into clear, compelling recommendations that support executive decision-making.
On any given day, you will lead the development of business cases from problem definition through to recommendation, working with stakeholders to assess options, identify benefits, risks and implications, and build a compelling case for change. Reporting to the Business Case Enablement Manager, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy and influence stakeholders across the organisation to drive alignment and support informed decision-making.

The Person
You are a commercially astute and outcomes-focused professional who thrives on solving complex problems and translating ambiguity into structured, decision-ready outputs. You are confident engaging stakeholders, influencing thinking and driving high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
The successful applicant will have:
- A degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Economics, Engineering or a related discipline. Postgraduate qualifications will be highly regarded.
- Extensive experience in business case development, business analysis, consulting or strategic advisory roles.
- A proven ability to lead complex business case initiatives, translating organisational challenges into clear options, recommendations and actionable outcomes.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to synthesise complex information, identify key insights and support strategic decision making.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, including experience evaluating costs, benefits, risks and strategic outcomes.
- Excellent written communication skills,
with demonstrated experience preparing executive ready business cases, briefing papers and decision support materials.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship management and influencing skills, with experience working across operational, technical and corporate functions to achieve alignment and drive outcomes.
- Experience working within governance, investment approval and decision-making frameworks in large, complex or highly regulated organisations.
- The judgement, initiative and leadership capability to operate autonomously while contributing to the ongoing improvement of business case methodologies, practices and frameworks.
- Professional certifications in business analysis or project management, such as IIBA CBAP or PMI PBA, will be highly regarded.
