We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to provide high-quality support to the General Counsel and Legal Services staff within the Strategy and Governance team. This varied role will help keep legal matters, correspondence, meetings, records and administrative processes organised, accurate and on track.

About the Role
Working within Strategy and Governance, you will provide responsive administrative support to the General Counsel and Legal Services staff. Success in this role will come from anticipating priorities, maintaining confidential and accurate records,
coordinating meetings and correspondence, and contributing to efficient legal administrative processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare accurate briefing notes, reports and timelines using appropriate legal formatting.
- Coordinate meetings, agendas, room bookings, records and follow-up actions within agreed timelines.
- Proactively manage incoming and outgoing legal correspondence, calls and matter-related administration.
- Maintain confidential electronic legal content and matter files in a cloud-based environment.
- Monitor legal budget expenditure and coordinate stationery, vehicle, travel and other administrative requirements.
- Support improvements to legal administrative processes and provide broader assistance across Strategy and Governance.
About You
You are a highly organised and adaptable administrative professional who takes pride in accuracy, confidentiality and responsive service. You communicate professionally, manage competing priorities calmly and enjoy contributing to a team-oriented team environment.
Essential requirements:
- Demonstrated experience providing high-level administrative support, including calendar management, meeting coordination and accurate record-keeping.
- Proficiency in Microsoft software and systems to support smooth day-to-day operations.
- Experience tracking timelines, deliverables and follow-up actions while managing multiple priorities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach.
- A proven ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality, discretion and close attention to detail.
- Flexibility, adaptability and a team-oriented approach, with preparedness to support the Catholic ethos in the performance of your duties.
Highly regarded:
- Demonstrated experience working in a legal environment.
