About the role

We are recruiting an experienced and customer-focused Waiter / Food & Beverage Attendant to join Overlander Indian Restaurant, an established Indian restaurant located in Orange, NSW, on a full time basis.

Key responsibilities

- Greeting customers and presenting menus and beverage lists

- Taking food and beverage orders accurately and communicating orders to kitchen staff

- Serving meals and beverages professionally and efficiently

- Setting, arranging and preparing tables before and during service

- Providing customers with information about menu items, ingredients and available food and beverage options

- Assisting customers with menu selections and making appropriate food and beverage recommendations

- Opening and serving bottled beverages and pouring drinks where required

- Monitoring tables throughout service and responding promptly to customer requirements

- Processing customer payments and operating POS systems and cash registers

- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness,



presentation and customer service throughout the dining area

About You

- Relevant hospitality qualifications such as an AQF Certificate II or Certificate III, or equivalent relevant industry experience

- At least one year of relevant experience as a Waiter / Food & Beverage Attendant

- Previous experience working in a busy restaurant environment

- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

- Ability to manage multiple tables and customer requests during busy service periods

- Experience using restaurant POS and payment systems

- Good knowledge of food service procedures and restaurant hygiene requirements

- Ability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays in accordance with the restaurant roster
