About the role

Mulgrave Country Club is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Kitchen Hands and Cooks to join our team on a casual basis. Working as part of our busy kitchen operation, you will assist with a range of duties including food preparation, cooking, dishwashing, cleaning and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. We are looking for team members who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, remain productive during peak trading periods and effectively manage competing priorities. Successful candidates will be proactive, adaptable and committed to supporting the kitchen and cafe teams to deliver efficient service and quality outcomes. What you'll be doing

- Basic food preparation and cooking

- Preparing meals to a high standard

- Cleaning dishes, kitchen equipment and utensils

- Maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen and food preparation areas

- Disposing of general waste and recycling

- Receiving and putting away deliveries

- Following food safety and hygiene requirements

- Assisting with stock control and rotation

- Maintaining clean, safe and hygienic work practices

- Providing general kitchen support as required

- Be flexible and available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings and weekends

- Have good communication skills and work well as part of a team

- Thrive in a rapid-paced hospitality environment

- Remain calm, focused and productive during busy service periods and peak trading times

- Demonstrate the ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness and customer service

- Effectively manage and prioritise competing tasks to meet operational demands





- Be capable of handling high-volume workloads while maintaining quality and attention to detail

- Adapt quickly to changing business needs and customer volumes

- Be honest, reliable, punctual and have a strong work ethic

- Have or be willing to purchase black work safety boots and black work pants
