About the role

Monaghan Fresh Produce is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Hand to join our team in Coragulac, VIC 3249. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in keeping our operations running smoothly. As a Maintenance Hand, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment, facilities, and infrastructure across our fresh produce operations. This role is essential to ensuring our production processes operate efficiently and safely, directly supporting our commitment to delivering quality produce to our customers.

Key responsibilities

- Performing routine maintenance and inspections on machinery, equipment, and production facilities

- Identifying and reporting equipment faults, malfunctions, and maintenance issues to the maintenance supervisor or management team

- Carrying out repairs and replacements of worn or damaged components under guidance and direction

- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of maintenance areas, tool storage, and work spaces

- Assisting with general facility maintenance, including painting, fixing, and minor construction work

- Following all health, safety, and environmental procedures and protocols at all times

- Keeping accurate records of maintenance activities and work completed

- Supporting more experienced maintenance staff and learning new skills as required

- Responding promptly to maintenance requests and urgent repair needs

What we're looking for

- Previous experience in maintenance,



handyperson work, or a related trades role is preferred

- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools, with the ability to use them safely and effectively

- A strong understanding of health and safety principles and a commitment to following all safety procedures

- The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour, including lifting and working at heights when required

- Reliability and punctuality, with a strong work ethic

- Clear communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions

- Relevant qualifications or certifications in trades or maintenance work would be advantageous
