You know how to fault-find, fix equipment and get things working safely again. You’ve spent your career on the tools and in the field — now you can use that practical experience to coordinate the operation and maintenance of critical water infrastructure across South Australia.
The Production & Treatment Alliance — a partnership between SUEZ and SA Water is looking for a practical, hands-on tradesperson to step into a coordination role supporting tanks, pump stations, valves, and trunk mains across the network. This is a role for someone who understands equipment because they’ve worked on it, fixed it and operated around it — someone who can think on their feet, solve problems, use initiative and turn practical experience into effective solutions in the field.
What You'll Do
• Keep critical water assets running safely and reliably
• Coordinate maintenance, inspections, and site compliance
• Troubleshoot issues and use your initiative to find practical solutions.
• Analyse performance data and use your initiative to identify practical improvements.
• Work closely with field crews, engineers, planners, and SA Water on capital projects
• Help drive smarter, more efficient operations — including energy savings Identify and implement smarter, more effective ways of working, including opportunities to improve reliability and reduce energy use.
What You Bring
• A recognised trade certificate (mechanical or electrical) with industrial or field-based experience
• Demonstrated hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing complex equipment
• A practical understanding of mechanical and/or electrical assets, ideally including pumps, valves, motors, controls or similar equipment.
• A solutions-focused approach with the ability to troubleshoot issues, think on your feet and use initiative
• Confidence using SCADA, telemetry systems and everyday computer tools
• Communication and people skills, with the ability to work effectively with field crews, supervisors, engineers, planners and customers.
• Good attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety, quality and reliable service.
• A current driver's license
