About the role

At Woonona Dentists, we're looking for a motivated and reliable Dental Assistant who wants to join a busy, supportive practice and build a genuine long-term career. This role is available full-time or part-time, and for the right person, there is a clear prospect to progress into a Clinical Leader / Senior Dental Assistant position.

Key responsibilities

- Chairside assisting across general and advanced dentistry
- Preparing surgeries and treatment rooms
- Sterilisation and infection control
- Instrument processing and maintaining clinical areas
- Supporting efficient patient flow throughout the day
- Assisting with digital radiography and clinical photography where appropriately trained
- Monitoring stock and clinical supplies
- Supporting dentists and the wider team with smooth day-to-day clinical operations
- Providing excellent patient care and communication

About you





- Have previous dental assisting experience
- Are reliable, organised and punctual
- Have strong infection-control knowledge
- Work well in a fast-paced environment
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Take pride in providing a high standard of patient care
- Are proactive and willing to take ownership of your role
- Enjoy learning and developing new skills
- Are interested in progressing into a senior or leadership position
- A Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting is highly regarded, but experience, attitude and reliability are equally important
