The opportunities
A career in Environmental Consultancy at RED OHMS Group provides opportunities to work across a range of environmental projects, develop specialist technical expertise, and contribute to innovative, science-based solutions for clients. As capability and experience develop, Environmental Consultants can progress into more specialised technical, project and consulting opportunities within the business.
To support the continued growth at RED OHMS Group, we are hiring positions at three levels:
- Graduate Environmental Consultant with 0 to 2 years' experience
- Environmental Consultant with 2 to 5 years' experience
- Senior Environmental Consultant with 5 to 8 years' experience
About you
We’re looking for a professional who is eager to develop their technical expertise, take ownership of their work, and contribute to a high-performing and collaborative team. You will have a sound understanding of the Western Australian environmental regulatory landscape, along with strong attention to detail and a professional, proactive approach to delivering accurate and timely outcomes for clients.
You will be someone who enjoys learning, sharing knowledge and finding practical ways to improve environmental and technical processes. You will demonstrate flexibility, teamwork and a commitment to continuous improvement,
while building your technical capability and supporting the delivery of environmental and groundwater projects.
Key Responsibilities:
We are are seeking graduates through to senior level. Please note - responsibilities within these roles will vary as per the position levels:
- Deliver environmental compliance, monitoring, and reporting services across mining and resources sector projects
- Undertake field-based environmental monitoring, including groundwater, surface water, and site condition assessments
- Prepare technical reports, compliance documentation, and monitoring results to meet client, legislative, and regulatory requirements
- Support environmental approvals, audits, and licensing processes, including liaison with regulators where required
- Interpret environmental data and contribute to practical, science-based recommendations for clients
- Contribute to project scoping, proposals, and business development activities as capability develops
- Maintain accurate time and project records, and support effective management of project costs, revenue, and invoicing
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, regulators, and internal team members
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members as seniority increases (Environmental Consultant and Senior Environmental Consultant levels)
- Actively contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement of internal policies, procedures, and technical standards
- Pursue ongoing professional development, technical learning,
and industry engagement
You will bring:
Essential:
- Previous experience in environmental management, approvals, audits, science, or field work
- Tertiary qualification in environmental science, environmental management, or related discipline
- Experience managing workload, competing priorities and delivering quality outcomes within deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performance team in a fast-paced environment
Desirable:
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline
- Membership to an environmental or mining professional organisation
- A strong professional network within the environmental and mining sector
