John Curtin Aged Care is a community-focused, not-for-profit aged care facility committed to delivering compassionate, person-centred care in a warm and supportive environment.

Located in the heart of Creswick, our 65-bed facility includes our Peacock Wing, a specialised 18-bed Memory Care Unit, where we support residents living with dementia with dignity, respect, and understanding.

What we are looking for

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Clinical Manager to join our leadership team and help guide the delivery of safe, high-quality care across our facility.

Working closely with the CEO and care team, you will provide clinical leadership and governance across nursing and care services, supporting best-practice care, workforce development, continuous improvement, and positive resident outcomes.

About the Role

The Clinical Manager is responsible for leading clinical operations and ensuring the delivery of secure, high-quality, person-centred care that meets the Aged Care Quality Standards, NDIS Practice Standards, and legislative requirements. This position includes being on-call after-hours.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who values teamwork, relationship-building, and creating positive outcomes for residents, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Leadership & Governance

- Lead clinical and nursing services across the facility

- Ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards, NDIS requirements, and clinical governance frameworks

- Oversee audits, incident management, SIRS processes, risk management,



and continuous improvement initiatives

- Support accreditation readiness and ongoing compliance activities

Resident Care & Clinical Services

- Oversee resident assessments, care planning, and clinical outcomes

- Provide leadership in complex care including medication management, wound care, infection prevention and chronic disease management

- Promote person-centred, culturally safe, and inclusive care practices

Supporting Our Team

- Lead, mentor, and support nursing, care, and allied health teams

- Foster a positive, collaborative, and respectful workplace culture

- Support workforce capability, development, and evidence-based practice

Communication & Reporting

- Build positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders

- Contribute clinical reporting and insights to the CEO, Executive Team, Board, and regulatory bodies as required

- Support effective use of electronic clinical systems including Medsig and MANAD

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1)

- Infection Prevention and Control qualification

- Current NDIS Check, First Aid,



and CPR certification

- Minimum 7–10 years’ nursing experience, including senior clinical leadership experience in residential aged care

- Strong understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards, NDIS Practice Standards, and clinical governance

- Experience in accreditation, audits, continuous improvement, and incident management

- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

- Full working rights in Australia

Postgraduate qualifications in Nursing Management, Clinical Leadership, Gerontology, or a related field are highly desirable.
