Our team is collaborative, values-led, and committed to excellence in everything we do.Job DescriptionThe purpose of this role is to be the primary point of contact for students, delivering a high-quality, culturally secure experience across their journey with CareerTrackers.Through strong coaching, recruitment activity, and partnership engagement, the Student Advisor supports students to progress successfully through university, secure internship opportunities, and move toward meaningful employment outcomes.
The role is also accountable for accurate data management and delivery of program milestones.As a Student Engagement Advisor you will:Coach and support Indigenous students through their internships and their studiesThis role owns the student lifecycle from recruitment through to internship completion,



providing consistent coaching, guidance, and advocacy to ensure strong academic, professional, and personal outcomesDeliver core training and events to students focusing on pre-employment, professional and leadership skills, preparing them for internships and life after graduationHelp to grow the CareerTrackers community by meeting and engaging with new students, working together to secure an internship that aligns with their career aspirationsBuild strong, mutually beneficial relationships with our university and community partnersBe part of a team who are passionate about supporting and empowering the next generation of Indigenous leadersHow you'll know you are doing a great job:You've forged strong relationships with your students and key stakeholders nationallyYou and your team consistently understand and follow National Program delivery standards and practices, meeting KPIs with a focus on accountability and continuous improvementYou are consistently upholding the standard of excellence and keeping students at the core of everything you doBenefits and Perks:As an Advisor, not only are you shaping the lives of CareerTrackers students, you are also developing your own career.

The successful applicant will be degree qualified with demonstrated 2+ years experience in Student Engagement, Diversity and Inclusion, Careers Advising, Stakeholder Management, Education or similar.Skills and ExperienceStrong business acumen and is prepared to take initiativeExcellent communication skills across all levelsPassion for making connections and the demonstrated ability to build relationships within Indigenous communities and corporate AustraliaProven leadership experience that inspires and engages their peers, students and relevant stakeholdersCan work independently, driving projects to completion, as well as part of a geographically dispersed national teamMust have a current Working With Children Check or willing to obtain one prior to commencementAboriginal or Torres Strait Islander candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
