Requirements:AQF Certificate III or relevant qualificationsA minimum of two years' experience in a similar roleProficiency in soil preparation, fertilization and cultivation techniques to ensure optimal plant healthCompetence in installing and maintaining structural elements like pathways, walls and other non-plant featuresKnowledge of irrigation systems and the ability to design, install and maintain them for proper watering of landscapesFamiliarity with and proficiency in using landscaping tools and machinery, including mowers, trimmers and power equipmentPrecision in executing landscaping plans, ensuring accurate placement of plants and hardscape elementsStrong verbal communication skills to effectively interact with clients, understand their needs and provide skilled adviceEfficiently manage time and resources to meet project deadlines and client expectationsUnderstanding of eco-friendly landscaping practices, including water conservation, native plant usage and environmentally conscious methodsAbility to work effectively as part of a team, coordinating with other landscaping professionals, contractors and suppliersResponsibilities:Design and plan landscaping projects, considering client preferences, environmental factors and budget constraintsSelect and arrange plants, flowers,
trees and other landscaping elements to create aesthetically pleasing and functional outdoor spacesPrepare and cultivate soil for planting, incorporating fertilizers and other necessary amendmentsInstall irrigation systems, ensuring proper watering and maintenance of plantsExecute tasks related to hardscaping, such as installing pathways, retaining walls and other structural elementsPerform regular maintenance tasks, including pruning, mulching, weeding and pest controlCollaborate with clients to understand their vision and make adjustments to the landscaping plan accordinglyOperate and maintain various landscaping tools and equipment, ensuring they are in proper working conditionImplement sustainable and eco-friendly practices in landscaping projects, such as water conservation and the use of native plantsProvide advice and recommendations to clients on plant selection, care and maintenanceEnsure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all landscaping activitiesEstimate project costs and provide quotes to clients, considering materials, labour and other associated expensesWork effectively in a team, coordinating with other landscaping professionals, contractors and suppliersBenefits:Salary:The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $70,000 - $80,000, plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
