Projects include dams, bridges, tunnels, water and wastewater treatment process facilities, rail infrastructure, mining infrastructure, electrical substations, marine works and pipeline rehabilitation: the complex infrastructure needed to build better communities.About the OpportunityWe are looking for a Health & Safety Advisor to join our team on the Pitt Town Bypass Project in Sydney's north west.Delivered for Transport for NSW, the Pitt Town Bypass will improve traffic flow, reduce heavy vehicle movements through the township and enhance road safety for local residents and road users.
The project includes new road construction, roundabouts, bridge structures and associated civil infrastructure works.As part of the project team, you will play a key role in driving a positive safety culture across site operations and ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and in line with project and legislative requirements.Key responsibilities include:Supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of project health and safety systemsConducting site inspections, audits and workplace observationsFacilitating incident investigations and corrective actionsAssisting with risk assessments,



SWMS reviews and safety planning activitiesProviding advice and coaching to project teams, supervisors and subcontractorsMonitoring compliance with WHS legislation, project procedures and client requirementsDelivering safety inductions, toolbox talks and awareness initiativesContributing to reporting, safety metrics and project performance reviewsWhat You'll Bring to the TeamPrevious experience in a Health & Safety Advisor role within civil construction, infrastructure or major projects (TfNSW experience highly regarded)Sound knowledge of WHS legislation and industry best practiceStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skillsExperience conducting safety inspections, audits and incident investigationsAbility to build strong relationships and positively influence teams at all levelsA proactive and practical approach to safety managementCertificate IV in Work Health and Safety (minimum requirement) and White CardCurrent driver's licenceWhy You Should Work With UsOur people are what make Abergeldie successful, and we make sure that this is the kind of place where excellent people enjoy working for the long term.
