With a strong focus on the future, Paramount Liquor is redefining what it means to be a liquor wholesaler and aims to be Australia's leading independent liquor provider while fostering a world-class hospitality culture.Role DescriptionWe're looking for a commercially minded Legal Counsel to join Paramount Liquor Group and work closely with our General Counsel across a broad and interesting legal portfolio.This is a hands‐on in‐house role suited to a lawyer who enjoys being close to the business, solving problems and providing practical, commercially focused advice.The roleYou'll support the General Counsel across a range of matters, including:drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, including supplier, distribution, logistics, warehousing,



services and trading agreementsliquor licensing and regulatory compliance across our wholesale and retail operationscorporate and governance mattersprivacy and data protectionemployment and workplace matterscompetition and consumer lawdeveloping templates, precedents, training and legal processessupporting the management of external counsel and legal spend.You'll work directly with stakeholders across the business and have the opportunity to help shape and further develop Paramount's in‐house legal function.About youIdeally, you will have around 3-6 years' post‐admission experience, gained in private practice, in‐house or a combination of both, with solid corporate and commercial drafting skills.Experience in a regulated industry such as alcohol, FMCG, retail or distribution would be highly regarded.We're particularly interested in someone who is:commercially pragmatic and solutions-focusedconfident assessing and communicating legal riska strong drafter and negotiatorcomfortable managing competing prioritiesproactive, collaborative and able to build robust relationships across a fast‐moving business.Location: Hybrid.
