Job DescriptionCommunicate effectively with team members, colleagues, clients and stakeholders using both written and verbal communication skills.Build and maintain trust, rapport and relationships quickly through stakeholder engagement and interaction.Work independently, by planning and prioritising work within set budgets.Utilise strong research and presentation skills in the delivery of client work and client meetings.Display strong client relationship and client service abilities.Demonstrate advisory capabilities and commercial awareness through a deepening understanding of clients' businesses, goals and objectives.Display a solid understanding of the external business setting and political, social, economic, and demographic trends as well as industry specific developments.Demonstrate people management skills, including providing clear direction, training, and day‐day support.Extensive exposure to and a deep understanding of a range of technical accounting and tax issues.Job RequirementsExposure to larger client groups and sophisticated business structures with multiple entities and technical complexity.Demonstrated workflow management experience.Exposure to people management.Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) or similar undergraduate degree.Professional certification – Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) or equivalent.Evidence of continuous personal and professional development, including maintaining the required CPD hours.Strong exposure to accounting software, including but not limited to Xero, Business Fitness, MYOB and QuickBooks.Job ResponsibilitiesClient ServiceProviding and reviewing a range of accounting and compliance services including:Preparing and completing income tax returns for more complex client entities including individuals, partnerships,
trusts and companies.Preparing full set of accounts.Preparing cash flow statements.Reconciling client accounts.Preparing and completing tax reconciliations.Calculating deferred tax accounting.Completing complex tax calculations and structuringProviding consultancy advice, report writing and handling client requests.Overseeing workflow and preparing budgets for client engagements.Quality AssuranceMonitoring the accuracy of client work and ensuring regulatory quality assurance requirements are met.Team ManagementManaging, coordinating, and delegating client work (including overseeing workflow and preparing budgets) to team members with an appropriate level of capability to ensure team targets are met.Resource and succession planning, recruitment, career development, conflict resolution, and performance enablement.Active involvement in the training of mid-level experienced team members across the firm.Budget ManagementSetting and achieving targets for recoverability, monitoring billings, collections and debt recovery.Workflow ManagementMonitoring workflow, disseminating information internally and to clients, and advising directors of progress on current work.Providing real time management reporting against established deadlines and budgets.Business DevelopmentSeek, identify, and act on new business and referral opportunities within the firm.Continuing to build client relationships and networks while actively encouraging team members to do the same.Attending and participating in industry and business activities external to the firm to raise the Moore Australia profile and attract clients to the business.Preparing fee estimates and proposals for new and potential clientsLeadershipContributing to the technical development and culture of the firm via voluntary involvement in programs, including but not limited to graduate recruitment, training, social commitments and peer group facilitation.Actively identify new processes, systems and areas of technical development that aim to improve the firm's performance.
