Support customer and business onboarding due diligence, including KYC/KYB checks, risk scoring, and enhanced due diligence for higher-risk clientsPerform ongoing transaction monitoring, investigate alerts, and elevate suspicious activity according to internal policyConduct sanctions and PEP screening and resolve related alertsSupport preparation and filing of suspicious activity/transaction reports (SARs/STRs)Serve as the first point of contact for day-to-day compliance queries across APAC marketsSupport implementation of group compliance policies and procedures locally and regionallyAssist with regulatory licensing, registration, and notification processes across APAC jurisdictionsIdentify and elevate compliance risks and control gaps to second line and senior managementExecute first-line risk assessments and controls for onboarding, payments, and financial crime riskMaintain accurate records and documentation evidencing compliance activitySupport remediation of identified issues and track actions through closureContribute to the regional compliance monitoring plan and reportingSupport delivery of AML and compliance training across the APAC businessPromote integrity, transparency, and regulatory accountabilityUndertake additional duties as required to ensure smooth departmental operationsRequirementsHands-on experience in AML/CTF compliance, including onboarding (KYC/KYB) and transaction monitoring, within payments, e-money, fintech, or another regulated financial services environmentWorking knowledge of AML/CTF and financial crime requirements across APAC markets, including MAS, HKMA/SFC, AUSTRAC, and JFSA requirementsPractical understanding of sanctions screening, PEP screening,
and suspicious activity/transaction reporting processesStrong attention to detail and ability to apply policy consistently to real casesGood judgement in escalating risk and identifying red flagsClear written communication skills for case notes, reports, and escalationsAbility to work across multiple APAC markets and time zonesDegree in law, finance, business, or a related field, or equivalent experienceRelevant AML/compliance certifications such as ICA or ACAMS preferredHigh integrity and sound judgementProactive, structured, and detail-orientedComfort operating in a rapid-moving, scaling fintech environmentStrong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skillsRight to work in the jurisdiction in which the candidate will workCore CompetenciesDemonstrates expertise in AML/CTF compliance, including KYC/KYB processes, transaction monitoring, and sanctions screening within regulated financial services.
