Sales Assistant - Harry's Cafe de Wheels
Work directly with the CEO of one of Australia's most iconic food brands.
Harry's Cafe de Wheels has been a Sydney institution for over 90 years - from the front gates of Woolloomooloo naval dockyard to outlets across the globe, with the likes of Frank Sinatra, Sir Elton John and Prince Harry having stopped by for our legendary Tiger Pie.
We're now looking for a Sales Assistant to join our CEO, Daniel, at our Ultimo headquarters and play a hands-on role in growing the business.
This isn't a back-office support position - it's a genuine opportunity to learn and contribute across sales, wholesale, franchising, business development, and the AI-powered tools we're increasingly using to drive the brand forward.

What you'll be doing




Managing incoming wholesale and franchise enquiries by phone and email - you'll be the first point of contactQualifying leads and building a pipeline of prospective wholesale and franchise partnersResearching and identifying new business opportunities to drive growthSupporting the sales process from first enquiry through to handover, including scheduling follow-ups and next stepsPreparing proposals, quotations and information packs with internal supportCoordinating product demonstrations, tastings and sample drop-offsMaintaining accurate records of leads, customer interactions and sales activityLiaising with internal teams to support onboarding of current wholesale and franchise customersProviding general administrative support to the sales and franchising functions
What we're looking for
Strong communication skills with a professional, friendly phone manner - this is the non-negotiableEnergy, confidence and a genuine commercial driveA willingness to learn and grow within the businessGood organisational skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities calmly and accuratelyDigitally savvy - comfortable with tools like Google Suite, Excel, and AI platforms (Claude, ChatGPT); Xero knowledge a plusInterest in sales, wholesale and franchisingAbility to work both autonomously and as part of a teamExperience in sales, customer service or admin is a plus, but we're open to candidates early in their career who have the right attitude
