Our Vision is "driven to do more valuable."About the roleAs Kitchen Hand, you will work with a Chef to provide meal options for village residents and other customers.
The Kitchen Hand is responsible for food preparation, assisting the Chef with cooking of meal offerings, serving, and maintaining a clean kitchen.
This position covers Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday service between *****am and 3pm, Tuesday *****am – 2.30pm and Sunday 10am to 3.00pm.
From time to time there may be catering demands such as morning teas, events,



and meeting lunch plates.The successful applicant will have:The ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.Experience with food preparation and cookingStrong attention to detail and commitment to cleanlinessAbility to follow directions and complete tasks independently.Understand safe work practices and food safety/hygiene.Work to set time frames to complete jobs in a timely and efficient manner.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Essential criteriaThere is a requirement to work weekday public holidays unless prior arrangements have been made.Desirable criteriaExperience working in an aged care setting.Qualifications or training in food preparation and cookingFirst aid certificate
