About This OpportunityThe University of Queensland's Institute of Up-to-date Languages is seeking expressions of interest from casual academics to be engaged on a casual basis.Casual Academics responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):TeachingPersonalised TutoringDevelopment of teaching materialsExam MarkingPreparation of lesson plansReport writing and other associated duties.What We Can OfferThese are casual academic appointments.
As such, there is no firm advance commitment to ongoing or indefinite work.
The casual rate will vary depending on the type of work completed.

EligibilityYou must have work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment to apply.
Visa sponsorship is not available for this appointment.QualificationsA Bachelor level degree or other qualification in teaching, education, TESOL, languages or linguistics .




Or a certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent.Knowledge and SkillsNative speaker or native-like proficiency in the target language.Ability to develop programs for specific language learning p urposes .
Ability to evaluate & assess student progress.Knowledge of current practices in language teaching methodology .
