Management Accountant (Level 6)Drive strategic costing, budgeting and financial analysis within a leading WA Government agency Your new company An exciting opportunity has become available with Landgate, Western Australia's land information authority, within their Finance team based in Midland.
This organisation plays a critical role in supporting the state's economic development and service delivery, while fostering a collaborative and flexible working environment.
The position has become available due to an extended leave arrangement and offers an initial 6-month contract with a further 6-month extension opportunity and potential longer-term prospects.
Located at Midland Square, the role offers a hybrid working arrangement with a minimum of three days per week in the office and flexibility to work from home up to two days each week.Your new role Reporting to the Senior Manager, Investment Assurance & Costing, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing Landgate's Corporate Cost Model, providing financial analysis and commercial insights that support organisational decision-making.
This position sits within a specialist finance function and works closely with senior stakeholders across the business.Key responsibilitiesManaging and maintaining the Corporate Cost Model (CCM) and associated costing methodologiesUndertaking financial modelling, forecasting and strategic financial analysisSupporting annual budget preparation, revenue modelling and budget submissionsPreparing corporate KPI reporting and assisting with performance analysisConducting profitability,



cost and revenue analysis to support strategic decision-makingProviding commercial insights and recommendations to senior leadershipDeveloping and maintaining reporting frameworks and financial governance processesPartnering with stakeholders across the business to improve financial management practicesResponding to ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requests as requiredSupporting budgeting, forecasting and planning activities across the finance function.What you'll need to succeedExtensive experience in Management Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis or a similar roleStrong financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting experienceAdvanced Excel skills and the ability to analyse complex financial dataExperience maintaining or developing corporate costing models, particularly Activity-Based Costing (ABC), highly regardedKnowledge of government budgeting and financial planning cycles, particularly within the WA public sector, will be highly advantageousExperience using Oracle or similar ERP systemsStrong stakeholder engagement and communication skillsA tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related disciplineCA or CPA qualification, or progress towards skilled accreditation, will be highly regarded.What you'll get in returnLevel 6 Government contract opportunityInitial 6-month contract with a further 6-month extension availablePotential for longer‐term opportunities within the organisationHybrid working arrangement with two days' work-from-home flexibilitySupportive and collaborative finance team environmentOpportunity to contribute to high-profile budgeting, costing and strategic finance initiativesConvenient Midland location with modern office facilities
