As the only all-girls' school in the region, we are committed to excellence and the development of the whole person.About the RoleSt Patrick's College is seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our dynamic and supportive teaching team.This is a temporary fixed-term contract position commencing in Week 1 of Term 1, **** and concluding at the end of Term 4, ****.
The successful applicant will be required to teach Science across Years 7–12, With an ability to teach biology and contribute positively to the academic, pastoral and co-curricular life of the College.Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:Uphold the mission, values and Child Protection commitments of the College.Deliver engaging and effective Science programs across Years 7–12Create a positive,
inclusive and supportive learning environment that promotes student achievement and wellbeingDevelop and implement curriculum and assessment programs in collaboration with faculty colleaguesDifferentiate teaching strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of studentsMonitor, assess and report on student progress in accordance with college requirementsFoster students' literacy, critical thinking and communication skillsWork collaboratively with colleagues, Year Coordinators and Learning Support staffMaintain effective communication with parents and carers regarding student learning and wellbeingSupport the pastoral care, co-curricular and community life of the CollegeParticipate in professional learning and ongoing curriculum development initiativesAbout YouYou are an enthusiastic educator who is committed to academic excellence, student growth and the mission of Catholic education.You will bring:Qualifications and accreditation to teach Science in NSW secondary schoolsExperience teaching Science across secondary year levelsA demonstrated ability to inspire and engage young women in learningStrong classroom management and relationship-building skillsExcellent communication, organisational and collaborative skillsA commitment to ongoing qualified learning and reflective practiceAn understanding of and commitment to the ethos and values of Catholic educationA current NSW Working with Children CheckNESA Accreditation (or eligibility to obtain)Why Join Us?
